Levitin said the Azerbaijani side was dissatisfied with the speed. â€œWe are working to improve the capacity of the Volga-Don canal. After putting the new gateway, the channel can accommodate vessels with carrying capacity of 10 tonsâ€.

To him, entry of foreign vessels in the internal waters of Russia is prohibited: â€œBut after Russia lifts the ban on the passage of vessels, no permissions will be required - only the formal proceduresâ€. But the minister did not mention the timing. According to his words, Russia is discussing this issue with the EU through the accession to the WTO.
