Azerbaijani RIT Minister is on a visit to Vienna

Baku â€“ APA-Economics. The Austrian - Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (ATAZ) invited on the occasion of the visit of Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Minister of Communications to Vienna to a high-level exchange of views on e-Government in the premises of the Capital Bank - GRAWE Group at the Esterhazy Palace in the City of Vienna. Under the participation of Minister Abbasov and high ranking representatives of Azerbaijan’s and Austria’s political and economic community important discussions on the development of e-government have been made. . The presentation by Christian Rupp, spokesman of the platform Digital Austria in the Federal Chancellery of Austria, which plays the leading role of Austriaâ€™s implementation of information and telecommunication technologies in public administration, was followed by the remarks of Minister Abbasov on the situation of e-Government in Azerbaijan.
Ali Abbasov acknowledged that much effort is needed to reach the aim of Azerbaijan. Especially in the field of e-government the goal is â€œto reach the EU standardsâ€.

Representatives of leading domestic companies in the information and telecommunications sector together with the minister took advantage of the meeting, to discuss concrete plans for future cooperation. ATAZ President, Alon Shklarek, was delighted about the successful initiative.
