Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Communications and IT attends World Economic Forum in Vienna

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Today World Economic Forum (WEF) for Europe and Central Asia "Expanding the Frontiers of Innovation" has today started in Vienna (Austria).

Communications and Information Technologies Ministry of Azerbaijan reports that at the event the country is represented by minister Ali Abbasov.

The forum is attended by 500 people including heads of states and governments, official and business circles, media and NGOs.

Azerbaijani minister will inform the forum participants on Trans Eurasia Super Information Mainline (TASIM) project, tell of projects carried out in the countryâ€™s information-communication sector and future plans.

Within his visit to Vienna A. Abbasov who is co-chairman of Azerbaijani-Austrian intergovernmental commission will meet commission co-chairman for Austrian side â€“ deputy federal minister of economy, family and youth Bernadette Herlinger and deputy federal minister of transport, innovations and Technologies Andreas Rihart who is responsible for development of communications and ICT sector in Austria.

An event will be held for ICT companies, members of Austrian â€“Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (ATAZ) to present Azerbaijanâ€™s projects in ICT area and draw potential investors.
