Baku - APA-Economics. Panasonic is gearing up to test out the Android-based eX3 in-flight entertainment system, which looks like it will be available on that seat screen, as well as a handheld system that looks a bit like a PlayStation Portable, CNET Australia reported.

On those HD and even 3D capacitive screens, users will be able to access optimised social networking sites (i.e. Facebook), games, news, TV and more with Internet broadband connections and GSM support. Business travelers can also make more use of time up in the skies with video conferencing. The Panasonic App Store will also be accessible, so app developers should keep this system on their radars.

Panasonic has proven its interest in pushing the boundaries of mobile/entertainment technology and travel before. The tech giant is helping wire Cathay Pacific’s fleet with Wi-Fi, and it launched the Merge in-flight entertainment system with USB charging ports in 2009.
