Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In January-February, 2011, 8.9 mln tons of cargo and 40 mln passengers were transported on Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia Corridor (TRACECA) through Azerbaijan, up 11.9% and 7.1% from year earlier.
According to State Statistical Committee, 43.6% of cargos were transported via motor, 35.6% via railway, 20.8% via sea transport.
Note that, AZN 57.1 mln income came from cargo transportation, AZN 11.7 mln – from passenger transportation, up 16.1% and 16.4% from year ago.
