Azerbaijan and Greece sign contract on cooperation in sea transportation

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan and Greece have signed a contract on acceleration of development of cooperation and relations among the Azeri and Greek companies engaging in sea transport, providence of the movement of passenger and cargo ships between Azerbaijani and Greek ports without obstacles.

Azerbaijan State Marine Administration says ASMA Chairman Gudret Gurbanov and Ioannis Diamantidis, Greek Minister of Maritime Affairs, Island and Fisheries have held meeting, after the signing ceremony. Gurbanov spoke about the bilateral cooperation directions between Azerbaijan and Greece in this sphere, within the International Sea Organization.

In turn, Diamantidis stressed the Greece’s interests in Azerbaijan’s taken measures, positive impact of transportations between two countries via newly-constructed Baku International Sea Trade Port and development perspectives of cooperation in training of seamen.
