Eco-activists and NGO representatives continued their protest in the city of Shusha - on the Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the areas under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers, especially the Kizybulag gold and Demirli copper-molybdenum deposits, till the morning, APA's correspondent sent to Shusha reports.
Action participants spent the night around the bonfire. They chanted slogans demanding an end to environmental terrorism and monitoring the deposits.
Besides, the protesters said that the service at all posts temporarily stationed by the Russian peacekeepers should be organized jointly with the relevant state institutions of Azerbaijan.
The slogans also called for a meeting with the commander of the Russian peacekeepers, Andrey Volkov.
Public support for the protestors is increasing day by day. Scientists, experts, students, and representatives of civil society in ecology, geology, and other fields joined the action and supported the voiced demands.
Protesters say they will continue the action until their demands are met.
