Guided by the requirements of the special quarantine regime applied in the country in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, penitentiary institutions operated in an enhanced mode, said Deputy Chief of the Penitentiary Service, Major General of Justice Ogtay Mammadov at the operational meeting in a videoconference format on finals of the activity during the first half of 2021, APA reports.
He noted that regular prophylactic measures have been conducted in all institutions: “As a result of measures done a total of 561 coronavirus cases were recorded among prisoners during the pandemic.”
