International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is aware of the issue of two Azerbaijani servicemen detained in Armenia, Ilaha Huseynova, head of the PR department of the ICRC's representative office in Azerbaijan told APA.

She stressed that ICRC is in contact with the families and relevant institutions: "Our goal is to visit the detained persons as soon as possible.

In accordance with its mandate, the ICRC assesses the treatment and conditions of detention of detainees during visits and facilitates the restoration or continuation of contact with their families. In accordance with ICRC procedures, observations and recommendations regarding visits are shared only with the detaining party."

Note that soldiers of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Babirov Agshin Gabil (born in 2004) and Akhundov Huseyn Ahliman (born in 2003) went missing due to limited visibility because of the poor weather conditions in the border area of Shahbuz district of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with Armenia.

It became known that they crossed to territories under Armenian control.
