Today, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) helped evacuation of 16 people in need of medical assistance to Armenia through the Lachin road as a humanitarian neutral mediator, Ilaha Huseynova, head of the PR department of the ICRC's representative office in Azerbaijan told APA.
She noted that since December 19, 2022, the ICRC, as a humanitarian neutral mediator, has carried out 47 medical evacuations along the Lachin corridor:
"During these operations, 353 patients and their accompanying persons were evacuated. In addition, medical supplies, food supplies and baby food were delivered to medical institutions.
We continue the dialogue with the relevant institutions and as a neutral mediator, we are ready to provide support in the direction of meeting humanitarian issues".
