"On April 28, the ICRC, in its role of a neutral intermediary, facilitated the transfer of 13 patients in need of medical care across the Lachin road to Armenia," said head of Public Relations Department of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Representation in Azerbaijan Ilaha Huseynova, APA reports.
"Since December 19, the ICRC carried out 49 medical evacuations across the Lachin road in its role as a neutral humanitarian intermediary and managed to ensure the passage of 378 patients together with their accompaniers, as well as the delivery of baby formula, food supplies and medicine for health structures," Ilaha Huseynova said.
The ICRC facilitated the transfer of 283 people across Lachin road to Armenia and of 313 people from Armenia, who joined their families on the respective sides:
"We stand ready to act as a neutral intermediary and assist in addressing humanitarian issues," she said.
