“Today, we stand by our brothers, we will be here until the end of wildfires in all areas”, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev told journalists, APA's correspondent sent to Turkey reports.
The deputy minister noted that 64,5 hectares of forest area were destroyed in Turkey as a result of fires so far: “We hold meetings with Turkish Interior, Energy Ministers and MPs to prevent the spread of fires. We coordinate all issues with them. I am sure that we will successfully fulfill all the tasks set before us by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and will return to Azerbaijan with pride after the fires are over”.
