"Azerbaijani aviation delivered about 1,000 tons of water into fire zones in Turkey," Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev told journalists, APA's correspondent sent to Turkey reports.
According to Deputy Minister, one helicopter and one amphibious plane of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations are currently operating in the fire areas in Turkey:"So far, helicopter carried out 134 flight operations, 332 tons of water has been poured into the fire areas. 76 flight operations have been carried out by amphibious aircraft, 615 tons of water has been delivered to the fire area. In total, about 1,000 tons of water has been delivered to the fire areas."
