A border guard in the service territory of the border outpost of the "Horadiz" border detachment of the State Border Service (SBS) Border Troops, located in the Fuzuli district, identified1 (one) unknown person violating the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the direction of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports citing SBS press service.
According to the information, the service area of the border outpost was closed, and the border violator was detained by the border guard after being monitored by surveillance cameras.
The investigation determined the detained person was Mansurov Babek Rafail oglu, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan born in 1980, who had been convicted before, and admitted that he violated the state border to bring in drugs.
During the examination, a total weight of 7 kilograms and 165 grams of the narcotic drug "marijuana" was found and seized.
Operational-investigative measures are underway into the fact.
