Azerbaijan's MES involves helicopter in extinguishing fire in mountainous area in Gabala-UPDATED-VIDEO

Azerbaijani MES disseminated information regarding the fire that occurred in the mountainous area in Gabala, APA reports citing the website of Azerbaijani MES.

According to the information, relevant forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the MES, Civil Defense Troops, and the North-West Regional Center, and a helicopter of the Aviation Detachment were involved in firefighting measures. Employees of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and a group of villagers also participate in extinguishing the fire that started in the mountainous area with the complex relief.

Necessary and urgent measures are being taken in the direction to prevent the fire from passing to the densely forested area and extinguish it.

Ministry of the Emergency Situations once appeal to the population and call on people to follow the fire safety rules, especially against the background of hot weather.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) continues measures to extinguish the fire which broke out in a mountainous area with a complex landscape nearby Tikanli village of Gabala district, the press service of the MES told APA.

According to the Ministry, a helicopter of Aviation team of the Ministry has been involved in the extinguishing works for the acceleration of the extinguishing fire.
