On August 21, a fire was extinguished in a mountainous area near the village of Haftonu, Lerik region, APA reports quoting the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the Ministry, dry grass, bushes and dried tree stumps burned in 1 hectare area during the fire.
The fire was extinguished by fire departments of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, personnel of the Special Risk Rescue Service and employees of the Forestry Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (mainly manual labor due to the mountainous terrain).
Nearby areas are protected from fire.
