In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the fire and rescue forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan in the brotherly Republic of Turkey successfully continue firefighting operations, the Azerbaijani MES told APA.
Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev, who leads the ministry's forces in Turkey, met with Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli at the Crisis Management Center in Marmaris. The meeting was also attended by officials.
E.Mirzayev said that the fire and rescue forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan arrived in the brotherly Republic of Turkey on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev. He spoke in detail about the activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the direction of extinguishing the fire.
Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu and Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli, who attend the meeting, noted that they highly evaluate the activity of Azerbaijani firefighters and they thanked President Ilham Aliyev and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan for their support and assistance.
In the meeting, steps to be taken to combat fires more effectively have been also discussed in detail and views have been exchanged.
