112 hotline of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has received information on an explosion in multi-storey residential building in Javadkhan street, Binagadi district of Baku, APA reports citing the website of MES.
According to the preliminary information, in the apartment belonging to a citizen, located on the eighteenth floor of an eighteen-storey residential building, an explosion occurred that was not observed due to a fire, as a result of a domestic gas leak. As a result, according to the preliminary information, 1 dies, 2 were injured, and the apartment was seriously damaged.
Currently, the relevant security measures are being conducted at the scene by the forces of the MES. Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, lieutenant general Etibar Mirzayev is at the scene.
