Today, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Kahramanmaraş region of Turkey, which was affected by the earthquake, APA reports.
The delegation included Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev, Chairman of the Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption Committee of the Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkiye Rashad Mammadov, Head of APA Media Group Vusala Mahirgizi, singer Azerin, Public Union for Enlightenment of Discharged Serviceme, including its chairman Emin Hasanli, veteran Ahliyat Mehdiyev, sector manager of Social Research Center Afgan Valiyev and businessman Asif Gurban.
The delegation visited the tent cities built by the Azerbaijani government for the earthquake hit people Kahramanmaras, and aid was distributed to families on the occasion of Ramadan in 360 tents.
The delegation held a meeting with the victims and talked with them. The earthquake hit people expressed their gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva and the state of Azerbaijan for their support from the first day.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkiye, Rashad Mammadov, said that during this period, the assistance has continued and will continue. At the same time, construction of houses for people affected by the earthquake with the support of Azerbaijan is also starting.
