Azerbaijani businessman Rasim Mammadov says Avaz Zeynalli blackmailed him and his family

A businessman Rasim Mammadov, who is in prison now and his trial continues, has announced that the head of "Khural" internet television Avaz Zeynalli blackmailed him and his family, APA's correspondent in court reports.

Rasim Mammadov has noted that Avaz Zeynalli repeatedly threatened, and blackmailed him and his family for many years: "Avaz is not a journalist, is a criminal. He has required money by blackmailing me and my family for many years. Avaz Zeynalli has received money from Loghman Zulfugarli (one of the former owners of Baku Steel Company-red.), engaged in lying and slandering me. While in prison, he informed the Turkish special services that I allegedly ordered the abduction of Loghman Zulfugarli. Thanks to God, now, that Avaz is in the neighborhood, he will come to his senses. I file a complain about him officially."

Commenting on what Rasim Mammadov said, the state prosecutor said that a written appeal should be applied in connection with this information: "The accused person gave information with criminal content. This must be registered and sent to the General's Prosecutor Office ".

Note that on September 7, the haqqin.az website published information and a recording that Avaz Zeynalli blackmailed the family of Rasim Mammadov and took 20,000 manats.

In this regard, the General's Prosecutor's Office initiated a criminal case, and Avaz Zeynalli and Rasim Mammadov's lawyer, Elchin Sadigov, were arrested.
