Based on the petition of the General's Prosecutor Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia decided on the extradition of Huseynli Javid Sabir, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to Baku by the requirements of the Convention "On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases" dated January 22, 1993, APA reports citing Press Service of General's Prosecutor Office.
In the case of a preliminary investigation conducted at the Sumgait City Police Department, reasonable suspicions were established that Javid Huseynli committed the crime provided for in Article 221.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, and a decision was made to prosecute him as an accused person, and he was put on an international search list for escaping from the investigation and hiding.
Javid Huseynli was detained in the territory of the Republic of Georgia and brought to Azerbaijan on January 18 accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
