Court rejects Haji Mammadovâ€™s suit on returning his fatherâ€™s house

Baku. Ramil Mammadov â€“ APA. Baku Appeals Court has today considered the civil suit filed by former officer of Interior Ministryâ€™s Crime-Search Department Haji Mammadov and others accused of committing a number of grave crimes. Court told APA that judge Abid Abdinbayov presided over the hearing. Public prosecutor demanded the court to uphold the decision of the court of first instance. The court rejected the civil suit filed to cancel the arrest imposed on the property of Haji Mammadov and other defendants.
Supreme Court sent back the decision to Baku Appeals Court for reconsidering the court decision on imposing arrest on the property of the defendants.
Court of Grave Crimes imposed arrest on the property of Haji Mammadov, his nephew Elchin Aliyev, former chief of Interior Ministryâ€™s Crime-Search Department Zakir Nasirov, department chief of Interior Ministry Kamil Sadraddinov and others on January 19, 2007. Haji Mammadov demands return of his fatherâ€™s house.
Haji Mammadov and 7 members of the gang got life sentence, 15 members of the gang were sentenced from 7 up to 15 years in jail.
