Baku. Ramil Mammadli-APA. The trial on the case of former officer Kamran Asadov and 19 others has today been held at the Court of Grave Crimes, APA reports.
The trial has been presided over by Islam Neymanov. Family members of defendants gave testimony. Samir’s mother Farida Mehraliyeva, Bakhtiyar’s mother Khuraman Orujova, Elshan’s mother Nazima Mammadova, Kamran’s wife Leyla Garayeva declined to give testimony using their rights. Shirvani’s wife Vafa Isgandarova said that she got information about arrest of defendants via mass media. She did not agree to several parts of his testimony noted in the indictment. Testimony given by Isgandarova during preliminary investigation was recorded in trial.
Turkan Musayeva, Hajibala’s wife did not confirm guilty of his husband.
The trial was fixed on January 15.
The defendants were accused of military operation, armed attack on LUKoil filling station in Baku, terrorist act against the US and UK embassies in Azerbaijan.
