Baku. Ramil Mammadli–APA. Hearing on the case of former officer of Azerbaijani Army Kamran Asadov and 19 others was held in the Court of Grave Crimes on Wednesday. Witnesses gave testimony in the process presided by judge Islam Neymanov, APA reports. Wives of some of the accused persons were invited to the court room to give a testimony. Kamran Asadov emotionally protested it and said their wives’ testimony in the court was against the law. “Don’t’ involve our wives and relatives in this case. We don’t agree with that they give testimony. They are our families and can not be questioned in the court”.
Judge Islam Neymanov said it was baseless that Asadov and others protested this issue in such manner.
Public prosecutor said the wives of accused persons gave testimony during the preliminary investigation. “They have no official marriage and it prevents them to give testimony in the court”.
The trial will be continued in the afternoon.
