Committee set up to protect rights of people arrested in pickets protesting Israelâ€™s attacks

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Committee has been set up to protect the rights of the people arrested in the pickets held in Azerbaijan protesting the attacks of Israel on Palestine. APA reports that the members of the committee held a press conference on this occasion. Member of the committee Gurban Jabrayil said about 80 people were arrested during the pickets at the beginning of January. Some of them were released after giving explanation. Gurban Jabrayil said 20 people were arrested for 12 days. He noted that various parties, religious organizations, public unions and believers were represented in the committee.
Member of the committee, Nardaran resident Haji Feyyaz Hajizadeh said in the Muslim country Azerbaijan the detention of people picketing against Israelâ€™s operations was not right. Chairman of the Party of Greens Mais Gulaliyev said the committee should prepare plan of urgent measures. He offered the committee to hold meetings with the heads of police offices.
