Coordination Center for Work with Azerbaijanis Deported from Armenia holds its meeting

Baku. Ramil Mammadli–APA. Coordination Center for Work with Azerbaijanis Deported from Armenia held its meeting on Tuesday. Coordinator of the Center, Chairman of the International Diaspora Center Ismayil Agayev spoke about the problems Azerbaijanis faced over the world as a result of lobbyist activity of the Armenians, APA reports. He said the Armenians migrated from Azerbaijan in 1988-1990 appealed the European Court of Human Rights with nearly 700 complaints and demanded Azerbaijan to compensate their material and moral damages.
Member of the Center, member of the parliament Fazail Agamali proposed to establish a working group within the organization. “Azerbaijanis faced with huge material damages while were deporting from Armenia. These losses should be counted by the working group phase-by-phase and the documents should be submitted to the Center for sending to the European Court”.
Member of the Center, member of the parliament Musa Guliyev said that the Center should work together with the non-governmental organizations in the country. Former deputy minister of education of Armenia SSR, researcher of Armenian studies Israfil Mammadov spoke about the directions of the Center’s activity.
The participants of the meeting decided to keep contact with the Azerbaijanis deported from Armenia and to urge the working group formed within the Center to collect information about the material and moral damages they faced during the deportation. The prepared documents should be sent to the European Court of Human Rights.
