Former officer and 19 others to go on open court trial

Baku. Ramil Mammadli-APA. On Wednesday, the Military Court of Grave Crimes held proceedings on the case of former officer of Azerbaijani Army Kamran Asadov and 19 others, APA reports.
Persons on trial Samir Mehbaliyev, Eldar Aliyev and Yashar Maharramov were heard at the court session presided over by Judge Islam Neymanov. All three acknowledged themselves partly guilty. One of the lawyers protested the open convoying of the persons on trial and the judge accepted his petition. The proceeding will continue on December 18.

Defendants Kamran Asadov, Bakhtiyar Orujov, Tarlan Karimov, Edgar Aliyev, Farid Jabbarov, Elshan Mammadov, Kamran Babayev, Samir Mehbaliyev, Ramil Karimov, Shirvani Babayev, Samir Aliyev, Yalchin Maharramov, Orkhan Alizadeh, Hajibala Husseinov, Azer Ibadov, Shahriyar Mehraliyev, Ramin Jalilov, Rovshan Abdulaliyev, Ilkin Ismayilov and Vugar Aliyev were accused of military struggle combining in religious radical group, armed attack on LUKoil filling station, terrorist attack against the US and British Embassies in Azerbaijan.
