Baku. Ramil Mammadli–APA. Chairman of the Azerbaijan Anti-Torture Committee Elchin Behbudov met on Tuesday with former Health Minister Ali Insanov at the medical center of the Ministry of Justice. Bahbudov told APA Insanov protested information in the press about his death and said it was sabotage against him. Behbudov said the former minister received good treatment. “Ali Insanov has a vertebral problem, which disturbs him in the winter”.

The Human Rights defender said Ali Insanov did not want to be operated in Azerbaijan. “Ali Insanov wants to be operated abroad, but there is no such opportunity now. He is receiving treatment. The former minister considers that there is no surgeon in Azerbaijan having perfect skills in this field and therefore he intends only to reduce pains”. Behbudov said no additional doctors were involved from outside.

The European Court of Human Rights passed decision on treatment of Ali Insanov and his moving to the medical center of the Ministry of Justice. The court’s decision was executed by the Azerbaijani government on December 12.
