European Court and Azerbaijani Government begin communication in connection with three more appeals

Baku – APA. European Court of Human Rights and Azerbaijani Government have begun communication in connection with three more appeals, Press Service of Legal Education Society told APA. These are the appeals of Eldar Namazov, President of Public Forum for Azerbaijan, Yagub Mammadov, former Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament, Nemat Aliyev, functionary of Azerbaijan Popular Front party and Elchin Rzayev. European Court has sent a questionnaire to Azerbaijan concerning the appeals. Azerbaijani Government is to answer the questionnaire by March 6.
Eldar Namazov claimed that Art. 3 (right to free elections) and Art. 6 (right to fair procedures) of Prot. 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms had been violated in the voting in Yasamal ConEC #15.
Yagub Mammadov claimed in his appeal that groundless inference in the right to election ensured by Art. 3 of Prot. 1 of the Convention had been observed in the voting in the 2nd Nasimi ConEC #22.
Nemat Aliyev complained of the violation of the rights ensured by Art. 3 (right to free elections) and Art. 6 (right to fair procedures) of Prot. 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in Berde ConEC #93.
Rzayev claimed in his appeal that groundless inference in the right to election ensured by Art. 3 of Prot. 1 of the Convention had been observed in the voting in the 3rd Goranboy-Naftalan ConEC #96.
