ICRC representatives meet with Armenian-captured Azerbaijani soldier Rafig Hasanov

Baku â€“ APA. The representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) met with the soldier of Azerbaijan Army Rafig Rahman Hasanov captured by Armenian servicemen on October 8 this year. ICRC office in Azerbaijan told APA that on November 21 Rafig Hasanovâ€™s health state and detention condition was monitored and his parentsâ€™ letter was delivered the soldier. Rafig Hasanov did not write a letter to his family, since ICRC representative knowing Azeri did not attend the meeting with Hasanov. It was said that ICRC representative knowing Azeri would soon meet with Rafig Hasanov. The captured soldierâ€™s family was informed about the meeting.

Rafig Hasanov reportedly does not read or write in Azeri and the first letter to his family was written by ICRC representative.

Soldier of Azerbaijani Defense Ministryâ€™s military unit, Hasanov Rafig Rahman, 19, was captured by Armenian servicemen on the line of contact in Gazakh region on October 8, 2008.
