Trial of suspects in vahhabism and terrorism begins

Baku. Hafiz Heydarovâ€“APA. Preparation session of the trial of officer of the Defense Ministryâ€™s N military unit Kamran Asadov and 19 others suspected in vahhabism and terrorism began on Monday at the military court of grave crimes. The judicial survey was appointed on December 4.

Kamran Asadov, 29, senior lieutenant of the Defense Ministryâ€™s N military unit in Khanlar Region was arrested last November by the Ministry of National Security. He is accused in involving to the terrorist group of vahhabits. Asadov left the military unit taking away 4 submachine and one machine guns, as well as 20 hand grenades and other ammunitions. Asadov and other members of the group hided a part of ammunition in Ismayilli Region and then arrived in Baku. They attacked LUKoil fuel station and wounded one of the employees and stole about 3 000 AZN. They are accused in membership of radical group, in terrorism and brigandage.
