A heavy rain causes tragedy in Astara

Resident of Duriyya Village Zahra Sanan Azizova, 37 and his 12-year old daughter Sabina Shahmar Farhadova fell into Pensar River when they crossed a bridge near their home, APA reports. Bodies of the flood victims were found on Friday.
Flooding waters destroyed three-room house of the resident of Agkorpu Village Eldar Manaf Bagirov and damaged three houses as well. Astara Regional Executive Power officials told APA local bureau that bridges in Pensar, Niki, Duriyya, Halikesh and Harac villages of the region were destroyed. The heavy rains seriously damaged electric facilities of the region and cut energy supply to those areas.
The regional Emergency Commission is taking measures to eliminate results of natural disaster.
