European Court of Human Rights to consider former MP Huseyn Abdullayev’s appeal

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. The European Court of Human Rights will consider the appeal filed by former MP Huseyn Abdullayev against the court decision on his arrest, Abdullayev’s lawyer Javanshir Suleymanov told APA. The lawyer said that Huseyn Abdullayev had appealed to the European Court against the decision of Sabayel District Court. The European Court has told him today that Abdullayev’s appeal was being investigated.
Huseyn Abdullayev was accused of injuring MP Fazail Agamali at the parliament’s sitting in March, 2007 and arrested. Later Sabayel District Court handed down 2-year suspended sentence to Abdullayev.
