Human rights defenders meet with Farhad Aliyev and Ganimat Zahid

Baku â€“ APA. Members of the Monitoring Group of Human Rights Organizations â€“ Saida Gojamanli, Novella Jafaroglu, Seadet Benenyarli and Chingiz Ganizadeh monitored jails #2, 6, 17. Saida Gojamanli told APA that they had concerned themselves with detention conditions. The human rights defender said they had met with ex-economic development minister Farhad Aliyev, correspondent of Bizim yol newspaper Mushfig Huseynov in jail #2, former president of Azpetrol Group of Companies Rafig Aliyev in jail #6 and editor-in-chief of Azadlig newspaper Ganimat Zahid in jail #17.
Saida Gojamanli said they did not complain of their detention conditions. Human rights defender said Ganimat Zahid and Mushfig Huseynov had health problems and they had appealed to the chiefs of the jails to transfer them to Justice Ministryâ€™s Medical Facility.
