Hasanova suffered from the cerebral circulatory insufficiency for long time. Her health broke down sharply on August 24 and she was taken to the Central Clinic Hospital with the diagnosis of cerebral insult. Doctors couldn’t’ save her life despite their efforts. Hasanova’s funeral will take place on Friday.
Shamama Hasanova was born in 1926 in the Arayatli Village of Fuzuli Region and she began to work at an early age. Hasanova led the 1 May collective farm for long time. She was one of the famous cotton-planters of Azerbaijan and became Socialist Labor Hero twice. She was awarded with number of order and medals of USSR and Azerbaijan.
