The incident occurred on personal dispute. Ferhad Guliyev shot at his neighbor. Prosecutor’s Office said Ferhad Guliyev was sentenced several times and registered in Mental Hospital #1.
Sabunchu District Prosecutor’s Office has launched criminal case on the fact on article 120.1 (premeditated murder) and 228.1 (illegal storage of fire-arms) of the Criminal Code.
Ferhad Guliyev is son of Haji Zakir Guliyev, activist of Azerbaijan Popular Front.
Haji Zakir Guliyev told APA that his son had not committed the murder. Haji Zakir said his son was mental patient, son of his brother-in-law committed the crime. Zakir Guliyev noted that Zeynalov and Hidayat Huseynov had a conflict.
“The incident occurred near my house and that’s why they thought my son killed him,†he said.
Haji Zakir said Zeynalov had been detained a few hours ago. Sabunchu District Police Office told APA Zeynalov had been arrested.
