Ilgar Mollachiyev heads â€œForest Brothersâ€ group that offered armed resistance to interior troops in Gusar Region - <font color=red>EXCLUSIVE </font>

According to information APA received from sources in law-enforcement bodies, the members of the armed group once partook in the military operations against Russians in Chechnya and Dagestan. Commander of the group is Ilgar Mollachiyev, who was born in Azerbaijanâ€™s Zagatala Region in 1974. Mollachiyev was an active member of the â€œForest Brothersâ€ group of Chechen Commander Rebbani and started to head the group after his death. Mollachiyev is wanted by law-enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan and Russia. Majority members of his group are Wahhabists.

On August 25, the law-enforcement bodies received information that the armed group headed by Mollachiyev passed the border and entered the territory of Azerbaijan. The Police, quick-reaction forces, officers of the Ministry of National Security and the units of the State Border Service were involved in the operation.

The armed criminals moved to the forest and offered armed resistance to the military servicemen of interior troops. One of the military servicemen of quick-reaction forces Ali Yolchuyev killed. Casualties are also reported among the armed group. A great deal of ammunitions was taken from the criminals.

The General Prosecutorâ€™s Office has launched a criminal case on the fact.
