Elchin Behbudov meets with Ganimat Zahid

Baku â€“APA. Chairman of Azerbaijan Anti-Torture Committee Elchin Behbudov has met with the editor-in-chief of Azadlig Newspaper Ganimat Zahid imprisoned in detention facility #17. Behbudov told APA the newspaperâ€™s editor-in-chief has not complained about the detention conditions and attitude to him, but said he suffered from rheumatism in his legs. â€œGanimat Zahid thinks that he was arrested without reason and therefore he is nervous. He feels nervous about his brother Mirza Sakitâ€, said the committee chairman.
Elchin Behbudov has also met with life prisoners Khalig Aliyev and Elchin Agayev in Tuberculosis Treatment Center for the prisoners. He said parents of the prisoners asked him to meet them. The committee chairman said both prisoners were in grave condition. â€œChief of the detention facility Nizami Guliyev said that they showed good manners and were not dangerous for society. They demand to reduce their imprisonment to 15 years and I will ask President Ilham Aliyev about it on September 1â€, said Behbudov.
