He asked to extradite him to another country. â€œIf you send me to the prison, I will kill myselfâ€, said Sargsyan. The judges announced a verdict after the short consultation. Sargsyan was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment. He will carry punishment in the general-regime prison. Edgar Sargsyan beat his stepbrother Mahsun Gurbanov and raped his stepsister Ramila Gurbanova on April 24 this year in Icherisheher (Old City) where he lives. Sargsyan was arrested at the complaint of former wife of his father Elmira Gurbanova. Before Sargsyan was sentenced on Article 177 (theft) of the Electoral Code in 2004 to three years of imprisonment and was released in July, 2007.
