Elchin Behbudov meets Ganimat Zahid, Mushfig Huseynov and Natig Afandiyev today

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayliâ€“APA. Elchin Behbudov, Chairman of Azerbaijani Committee against Tortures has visited detention facilities #2, 9, 17 today, the Committee Chairman told APA.
He has met with Mushfig Huseynov, collaborator of â€œBizim yolâ€ newspaper in detention facility #2. Huseynov is satisfied with detention condition. Behbudov met former police chief Natig Afandiyev in detention facility #9. Natig Afandiyev has skin disease on his neck.
â€œAfandiyev said that the disease was not treated in Azerbaijan. The prisoner is not allowed to make telephone contact with his sons living in the US. I told the detention facility chief about itâ€, he said. Behbudov met Ganimat Zahid, editor-in-chief of â€œAzadligâ€ newspaper in detention facility #17. Behbudov said that Zahid did not have a problem with detention condition. He suffered from rheumatism and eyesight only. The Committee Chairman added that journalist prayed every day and learned English. Human Rights defender expressed his gratitude to detention facility Chief Eyvaz Asgarov for the establishment of construction work and alternative agriculture. Vegetables are grown by using alternative agriculture and prisoners use vegetables.
