Azerbaijan State Border Service detains 7 Russian and 2 Iranian ships

8 trespassers are Iranian, 8 Azerbaijani, as well as Russian, Georgian and Kazakhstan citizens, APA was told. 32 people were detained for the violation of border regime and 96 were detained because they were without visas and 35 were detained with the expired visas. 29 people were detained because they had no relative documents. 62 wanted persons were detained and handed over to the law-enforcement bodies.
Trespassers showed armed resistance to the border guards in one case in June. One AK automatic gun, 2 night vision guns, 5900 USD, 3 mobile phones, about 39 kg hashish, 3 kg narcotics similar with heroin and five 7.62 mm bullets were confiscated from the trespassers. As a result of preventive measures against the drug trafficking 2 tons and 800 kg wild cannabis were confiscated. Caspian coast-guard detained 7 Russian and 2 Iranian ships during the checking of the coastal regime. 17 Azerbaijani citizens floating in 7 boats without the documents were detained and relative measures were taken against them. As a result of anti-smuggling measures, smuggled goods amounting to 745 thousands and 419 AZN were detained.
