A court proceeding of the man knifing â€œAzadligâ€ newspaperâ€™s reporter ends

According to APA, Agil Khalilâ€™s lawyer Elchin Sadigov protested the composition of the court. He gave a petition against the dropping of the protocols of Agil Khalilâ€™s testimony and confrontment in the Investigative Office on Grave Crimes on April 4 from the list of evidences. The court decided to reject the petitions. Then the lawyer demanded to involve Dagbeyi Allahverdiyev, Akif Chovdarov, Aladdin Humbatov, as well as three schoolchildren witnessed beating Agil Khalil on February 22 into the testimony. The judge rejected this petition too arguing that the investigation of that incident finished and now the court investigates knifing of Agil Khalil on March 13.
The preparation meeting ended and the judge announced beginning of the court proceedings later on. Following that Prosecutor Eldar Hamzayev read out the act of prosecution. Following the Public Prosecutorâ€™s speech, Stekalin took the stand and admitted his guilt partly. He confirmed accusation in knifing Agil Khalil, but denied drug accusations. â€œI learned that Agil Khalil is journalist later than I was acquainted with him. He told me that he was working for the newspaper as a show-biz reporter. Then we established personal attitude receiving a permanent character later. Then we broke up our relations and once we met again. I bought cigarette in the Ayna Sultanova Street and met there Agil. We quarreled and I knifed himâ€. The process is going on.
Stekalin is accused on Article 127. 1 (deliberate causing of minor serious harm to health) and Article 234.1 (illegal purchase or storage without a purpose of selling of narcotics or psychotropic substances in a quantity (amount) exceeding necessary for personal consumption) of the Criminal Code.
