Defendant accused in the case of Azerbaijani former Minister released

Baku. Haji Zeynalovâ€“APA. Trial on the case of Rafael Rustamov accused in the case of Farhad Aliyev, former Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister has been held in Court of Grave Crimes today, Court told APA.
Rustamov has been sentenced to conditional sentence.
Rustamov, President of â€œPrestigeâ€, â€œExclusiveâ€, â€œDCVAUMATâ€, â€œCHAHARDâ€ evaded from payment of AZN82.000-tax and sent it to the account of â€œAzpetrolâ€ Group of Companies. Moreover, he was engaged in bringing valuable jewelries to Azerbaijan illegally. He faced charges under Articles 206 (Smuggling) and 216 (Evasion from payment of taxes) of the Criminal Code.
