Official of Azerbaijani Embassy meets with the Azerbaijani women arrested in Georgia

Baku. Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. Five women having citizenship of Azerbaijan are serving sentence in the 5th women penitentiary of Tbilisi, Georgia. Recently one of them Dilara Dashdamirova joined the hungers strike of women prisoners. Official of Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia Elkhan Polukhov has met with her and other four Azerbaijani women by Dashdamirovaâ€™s request. The diplomat told APA these women were convicted for the prison from 8 to 25 years for the drug traffic. Dilara Dashdamirova, 29 has been arrested for selling of huge part of narcotics (190 tablets of â€œSubatexâ€ and heroin) and convicted for 25 years of prison 15 months ago. She requested to review her case again taking into consideration that she is mother of two. Other prisoners â€“ Elnara Aliyeva, 29 and Samangul Gurbanova, 47 requested the diplomat to assist to their extradition to Azerbaijan. The Embassy delivered their request to the relevant organizations. Elkhan Polukhov said Yulia Timoshenko, 35 sentenced for 11 years of prison and other woman, who wished to be unknown, didnâ€™t request for extradition.
