Penitentiary Service confirms suicide of prisoner in Gobustan jail

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayliâ€“APA. Justice Ministry Penitentiary Service has confirmed suicide of lifer Zeynal Hajiaga Karimov, Press Service of the Penitentiary Service told APA.
32, Karimov faced charges under Articles 120.2.1, 120.2.4, 120.2.10, 120.2.11 (deliberate murder), 181.3.3 (Burglary with causing heavy harm to health of the victim), 326.1 (Abduction, destruction, damage or concealment of official documents, stamps or seals, committed by mercenary or other personal interest) has committed suicide at 16.30 on June 3. He hanged himself.
Karimov was transferred to Medical Unit of Penitentiary Service for tubercular patients on September 15, 2007. He was transferred to the jail on May 31. Garadagh Prosecutorâ€™s Office has launched a criminal case, the case is under investigation. The Penitentiary Service is investigating the case of suicide.
