Resident of Azerbaijanâ€™s Zagatala Region taken away by stream

Zagathala. Hafiz Heydarov â€“APA. 68-year old Zagatala resident Soltan Shabanov has been taken away by stream, regional police office told APA. The incident happened in Dombabina village of Zagatala Region this morning. Shabanov was taken away when he passed over the Garachay River. Villagers tried to rescue him but couldnâ€™t do it. Police officers are conducting rescue operations to find his body. Garachay River passing through the Dombabina Village flows to the Alazan River on the borders with Georgia. Heavy rains in the region recently caused raise of water in the rivers.
