Baku. Anakhanim Hidayatova – APA. Employees of the Israeli Embassy consular service in Azerbaijan – diplomats and consuls restricted their activities. The Embassy told APA that Israeli Foreign Ministry’s trade union has declared strike to achieve improvement of working conditions. Therefore, Israeli embassies in all countries, including Baku have halted consular services and visa issuance.

Strike of the Israeli Foreign Ministry employees have been continuing for several months.

Diplomats are demanding improved working conditions. They refused to arrange visits of the officials, unless their requirements are implemented. Prime Minister Netanyahu had to apply to the servicemen to organize his visit to Poland at the beginning of June.

Israeli Foreign Ministry employees held a similar action in 2011. As a result of this, the Ministry of Finance agreed to increase the salaries of diplomats and pay the premium.

Consular Department of the Israeli Embassy will work only in cases of need for first aid, transportation of bodies of the dead people, appeals for adoption of child and substitute motherhood.
