Elmar Mammadyarov receives Interior Minister of Afghanistan Ghulam Mujtaba Patang - <span style="color: red;">PHOTO

Foreign Ministry’s press service told APA that Minister Mammadyarov welcomed the delegation and noted with satisfaction high level bilateral ties between the two countries. He added that the bilateral relations are traditionally friendly and brotherly and the visit would further contribute to enhance these ties. Minister Mammadyarov also stressed that Azerbaijan will continue to support Afghanistan and praised Afghanistan's stance on the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Interior Minister of Afghanistan Ghulam Mujtaba Patang expressed his delight with the visit to Azerbaijan and added Afghanistan is keen to enhance cooperation with Azerbaijan across many spheres. He stated that there are huge opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation in various spheres and hailed Azerbaijan's support to Afghanistan. Minister Patang also stressed that his country will always support the position of Azerbaijan in the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

During the meeting they also noted the importance of mutual exchange of visits and strengthening legal basis for the development of bilateral relationship.
