Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations meets Latvia's President and Prime Minister

APA reports quoting the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that President of Latvia Andris BÄ“rziÅ†š received Heydarov during the visit.

BÄ“rziÅ†š noted the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia in different spheres and the importance of increasing efforts for further development of cooperation.

The Minister, in his turn underlined the importance of the efficient use of the existing potential of the two countries in the management of emergency situations as in other spheres.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister of Latvia, Valdis Dombrovskis received Heydarov during the visit.

Dombrovskis said that they are interested in the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Latvia in all spheres.

Heydarov underlined the importance of further development of cooperation in preventing emergency situations and eliminating their consequences.

The sides discussed other issues of mutual interest at the meeting.

Heydarov also met with Latvian Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis.

They discussed the prospects of cooperation in warning and preventing emergency situations and eliminating their consequences, as well as issues on taking advantage of experiences of the two countries in this filed.

Following the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the activities of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Latvia and, its subordinate bodies.
