Turanbank sees decline in consumer lending

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of October 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based Turanbank’s assets stood at AZN 242.418 mln, up 16.2% by contrast to a year earlier.

 

Bank says the loan portfolio rose 17.9% to AZN 181.499 mln, as well as consumer lending made AZN 25.809 mln, down 12.8% from 2012. Overdue credits dropped 21.9% to AZN 5.447 mln and made 3.0% of total loan portfolio slipping 1.5 percentage points.

 

Deposit portfolio dipped 4.4% to AZN 87.878 mln, including personal savings were equal to AZN 73.277 mln, un 20.2% in annual comparison.

 

Bank’s total capital surged 63.9% to AZN 45.380 mln, including authorized capital soared 68.1% to AZN 40.002 mln.

 

Number of clients grew 25.4% to 45,432, as well as individuals rose 26.3% to 44,707, juridical persons slid 1.1% to 725, plastic cards stood at 11,574, up 5.5% in annual comparison. Debit cards dropped 3.2% to 7,739, credit cards climbed 5.9% to 1,835.

 

Currently, the bank operates 12 branches, 21 ATMs and 245 POS-terminals across the country.
